Why I practice medicine this way.
I came to orthopedic surgery because I was fascinated by the mechanical elegance of the musculoskeletal system — how tendons anchor force, how joints distribute load, how bone remodels itself in response to stress.
But early in my career, I kept seeing the same pattern: patients recovering from surgery at wildly different rates, despite similar surgeries. The difference wasn't technique — it was metabolic health, inflammatory load, and nutritional status.
That realization started my focus on the science of nutrition, metabolism, and performance medicine. I studied protein synthesis, collagen remodeling, anti-inflammatory nutrition, and the role of metabolic health in tissue repair.
Today, every patient I see gets both: the surgical precision they came for, and a clear nutritional framework to support their recovery and long-term resilience. It's not a separate service — it's the standard of care I believe every patient deserves.
My approach is rooted in evidence, not trend. I don't follow fads. I follow the data — and I explain it to you in plain language so you can make informed decisions about your own health.
“The body doesn’t separate structure from fuel. Neither do I.”
Precision over protocol Every patient is different. I treat your specific anatomy, your labs, your history — not a template.
Evidence over opinion Every recommendation I make is grounded in peer-reviewed science, not convention or conjecture.
Longevity, not just recovery Getting you out of pain is the floor. Getting you to thrive for the next 30 years is the goal.
